Oven, hob and cooker installation
High-powered cooking appliances need the right circuit. We make sure yours is correctly rated, safely connected and certified.
Electric ovens, induction hobs and range cookers draw a lot of current. Many need a dedicated radial circuit and cooker isolation switch, and an induction hob often needs a heavier supply than the hob it replaces. We connect ovens, hobs and cookers in Bury St Edmunds and across West Suffolk.
We'll check whether your existing cooker circuit is suitable for the new appliance before fitting it. If it isn't, we can upgrade the cable and protection so it's ready, rather than leaving you with an appliance that trips or overheats.
Appliances we install
- Built-in single and double ovens
- Induction, ceramic and electric hobs, including downdraft hobs
- Range cookers and freestanding electric cookers
- Cooker hoods and extraction
- New cooker circuits and isolation switches for kitchen refits
- Commercial-style appliances for cafés, kitchens and staff rooms
Kitchen refits
If you're having a new kitchen fitted, we'll work with your kitchen fitter to get the cooker circuit, appliance sockets, under-cabinet lighting and switched spurs in the right places before the units go in.

Frequently asked questions
Can't see your question? Call us on 07738 271863 or use the quote form and we'll get back to you.
Can I just plug in a new induction hob?
Most induction hobs need to be hard-wired on a suitably rated circuit. Plugging one into a standard socket can overload it.
Does my oven need its own circuit?
Many built-in ovens can run from a fused spur, but higher-rated ovens and combined oven and hob setups often need a dedicated circuit. We'll check the manufacturer's requirements.
Do you remove the old appliance?
We disconnect the old appliance safely. Just let us know when booking if you'd like it taken away.
