A dedicated EV charger is faster, safer and much more convenient than a three-pin plug. Most home installations use a 7kW smart charger, which can typically add around 25–30 miles of range per hour of charging, so an overnight charge is enough for most drivers. We survey every installation first. We check your supply, earthing arrangement and consumer unit capacity, and pick the best position and cable route, so there are no surprises on the day.

How long does an EV charger installation take?
Most straightforward home installations are completed in around half a day. Longer cable runs or consumer unit upgrades can take longer.
Do I need a new consumer unit?
Not always. We'll check your existing board during the survey and tell you honestly whether it's suitable.
Can I get a grant?
Government grants are currently aimed mainly at renters, flat owners, landlords and businesses rather than most homeowners. Eligibility changes, so we'll check what applies when we quote.
